Locomotive Engine "Gowan and Marx," built by Eastwick and Harrison Philadelphia. This Engine brought the first freight train over the Reading Rail Road from Reading to Philada on December 8th 1839. Augustus Thomason, Loco. Eng. D.J. Kennedy.
