Image description: This committee was appointed by Thomas, John, and Richard Penn (the sons of William Penn) in accordance with an agreement between them and Charles Calvert, the 5th Baron Baltimore. The committee was charged with determining the boundary between Maryland and Pennsylvania, which was contested by both parties. At this meeting, on November 24, 1733, the committee mostly discussed the measuring and importance of the 12-mile circle centered at Newcastle, Delaware.
