Image description: As noted by the donor of this collection on the postcard verso, the depicted Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania, church replaced the original one built in 1894 and destroyed by fire. The place of worship located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, depicted in the Christmas card serves as the archeparchy (cathedral) governing all Ukranian Catholics in the United States. Not far from the cathedral is the Providence Association of Ukrainian Catholics in America. Originally located in New York City, the association was founded in 1912 to offer life insurance and other financial aid and spiritual guidance to Ukrainian Catholics. It also supports religious schools and grants scholarships to Ukrainian American students.
