Inscription text: The Monastery on the Wissahickon near Philadelphia was built in 1737 by Lamech and Agriffa, was demolished, and the above one built in 1751 by John Kelpus Hermit of the Mission who composed a book of Hymns in 1742. Sketched by DJKennedy in August 1874.
