Image description: Articles of impeachment drawn up by the Pennsylvania Assembly, the elected governing body in the colony, accusing James Logan, then Proprieter of Pennsylvania, of "High crimes, misdomeaners, and offences." Logan had gradually become unpopular with the assembly in his representations and assertions of royal authority over democratic will.
