Image description: Margaret Yardley Potter was a Philadelphia resident who wrote the 1947 cookbook At Home on the Range, which was published by the J. B. Lippincott Company. The cookbook was recently republished by McSweeney's, with a forward by Eat, Pray, Love author Elizabeth Gilbert, who is also Potter's Great-granddaughter. Potter was also the food editor of the Wilmington Sunday Star from 1950-1954. This large scrapbook contains Margaret Potter's clipped editorials from the Wilmington Star. Additionally, there are a few photographs of Potter, a typed essay she wrote called "Dinner on a Dozen Dimes," and an advertisement of and order form for At Home on The Range from the Lippincott Company. There is also the front page from the Public Ledger, 3 June 1906, that contains an article on public safety and Col. Sheldon Potter, Margaret Potter's husband and the city's director of public safety.
