A graduate of Columbia University, she has been a professional writer and actress since 1929 and has successfully combined homemaking and a career. She was awarded a certificate of merit from the U.S. Treasury Department for her Savings Bond drive work. She lives in New York City, is married to a chemical engineer, and has two grown children.
