Portrait of Anna Howard Shaw.  From the Caroline Katzenstein papers [Am .8996].  Shaw was a leader of the women's suffrage movement in the United States.  She was also a physician and one of the first ordained female Methodist ministers in the United States.  Anna Howard Shaw Junior High School in Philadelphia is named for her.
