This digital record contains images of a complete 1915 bulletin from the Capilla Católica Hispana de la Medalla Milagrosa (Spanish Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal). This was the first formalized Spanish-speaking Catholic congregation in Philadelphia.

"According to history researched and supplied by La Milagrosa parishioner Humberto Mendez, Vincentian Father Anthony Casulleras arrived in 1908 and early Masses were celebrated at Old St. Mary’s Church."

The congregation began meeting at the converted rowhome chapel at 1903 Spring Garden Street in 1912. The congregation continues to meet there to this day.
