Part of the Balch Institute collection, this pamphlet, printed by the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History, promotes and explains Negro History Week.  The pamphlet suggests that all teachers incorporate negro history into their lessons.  It lists prominent negro contributions in areas such as "dramatics" and "science and mathematics."  It also gives a brief history of the negro in American history.  Lastly, it provides a detailed history and workings of the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History.
