(1) Photograph of men joining the Auxiliary Police in Haverford Township.  The men gathered at Haverford Township High School to be sworn into the Auxiliary Police unit by Lieutenant Arthur B. Holmes.
(2) Verso: “A new group of applicants being sworn in as Auxiliary Police, as the Haverford Township High School, by Lieutenant Arthur B. Holmes, Executive Officer, of the Haverford Township Auxiliary Police, in charge of recruiting, in response to their recent appeal for at least 200 more men to serve as Auxiliary Police in Haverford Township during alerts, air raids and black-outs. 
Any man above the age of 21 years, of fair or average health and of good character is invited to join this Auxiliary Police group.  No weekly drill required.
Information can be received at the Haverford Township Police Station or on any Thursday evening at the Haverford Township High School.
