Portrait of Charles Custis Harrison including his signature on the bottom of photograph. Harrison was the Provost of the University of Pennsylvania from 1894-1910. While there, Harrison was able to expand the physical size of the university to include a number of new buildings through extensive fundraising. The buildings built or funded to built during his tenure include Houston Hall, University Museum, Medical Laboratory, and Dental school.
