Sweet Briar, situate on the west bank of the Schuylkill distant from, and N.W of Egglesfield 1120 feet. Mansion 50 by 35 feet, distant from the river 400 feet with a beautiful lawn between, and is 72 feet above water level, late the residence of W.S. Torr Esq. Sketched by D.J. Kennedy in Jan'y 1871.
