Port Mullin, Wigtonshire, Scotland. Situate on the south shore of St. Georges Channel two miles west of the entrance to Lochryan, opposite to Cantire, Arran, Ailsa Craig & Ayrshire, Andrew Kerr a good old man & his family occupied the cottage which stood on top of a craig about 200 feet above the level of the sea. Here I was born, while my father William Kennedy was superintending the erection of Corsewall Light House, about a mile distant which was founded on the 15th day of June 1815. while Boniparte & Wellington were contending in deadly strife on the field of Waterloo.
