Image: 1/6 plate; Young child sitting in a stuffed chair, wearing a checked dress, short white stockings, and dark shoes. Preserver: [none] (pre-1847). Mat: Double elliptical, with sandy finish (mid 1840-50). Case: Leather-covered wood frame embossed with a floral design on the front and a geometric design on the back, with interior gilded edge trim, a green velvet pinchpad and green velvet plain (unembossed) cushion (ca. 1850).
