(Ink on paper): Proof taken on night printing paper - 5 sec - / onds exposure to kerosine [sic] lamp flame / - developed with the same bath that the / negative was. It is on a spoiled scrap of the paper / This is a very bad proof. The good ones / equal the silver prints. / The paper has to be guarded from the light the / same as the dry plates do. / I am about to buy a lot of this paper - [~] 150 / plates - so as to do a lot of photography.
