Inscription:
This House was located at the east end of the Columbia Rail Road bridge, south side, built about the year 1834, and occupied as a tavern for many years. It was last rented by Joseph Armand as a lager beer house and demolished in 1874 by order of the Fairmount Park Commissioners. Belmont Cottage & Belmont Mansion in the distance.
