First house (frame) built in 16th Street above Arch Street, for Stephen Barcas, he was grave digger for the Friends, Western Burial Ground (16th St above Cherry) for 53 years and died in this house, the 2nd story brown frame, in 1853. D.J.Kennedy, 1858. (Front Bottom)
