Image: 1/6 plate; Boy dressed in a white shirt and pants, girl, with her hair parted in the center, dressed in a patterned shoulder-baring short sleeved dress, wearing a necklace of coral beads around her throat.
Preserver: Simple rope pattern.
Mat: Elliptical with sandy finish (late 1840s).
Case: Leather covered wood half frame, embossed with a floral design on the front, with a red cushion embossed with a floral design (1850s).
Enclosed item: Gelatin silver print reproduction of the daguerreotype, all edges torn (1950s).
