Letter from the citizens of Mobile in the Alabama territory to General Andrew Jackson regarding the safety of the town during the War of 1812.  In the letter, the citizens express concern that Mobile is suspectible to British attack.  Mentioned in the letter are the strength of British positions, a distrust of the Spanish in nearby Pensacola, Florida, and a fear of being cut off from New Orleans, which was a major source of supplies.
