Biography:

1855: Halvorson assigns his patent to Peck on August 7. Although labels contain both their names the company was still called S. Peck & Company. Halvorson is brother in law to Peck. This is the spelling of Halvorson as it appears on his patent; on the case labels it is spelled Halverson.
