Biography:
Adlai Stevenson was the 23rd Vice President of the United States. 
Stevenson was born on October 23, 1835 in Kentucky.  He became a lawyer and in 1860 was appointed as a master in chancery of Woodford County’s circuit court. He later became State Attorney and served two terms in the United States House of Representatives.  In 1892 he became Grover Cleveland’s running mate and served one term as Vice President from 1893-1897.  He ran unsuccessfully for Vice President in 1900 and later for Governor of Illinois.  Stevenson died on June 14, 1914 in Chicago.
