This Christmas holiday dance was co-sponsored by both the Societatea Banateana-Vasile Alecsandri and the parish, Descent of the Holy Spirit, and held in the parish hall, located at 723 N. Bodine Street. Christmas Day dances, not held since the late 1950s in Northern Liberties, were a holdover from the old country where they are still held in many villages and towns.
