Image Description:
Uncle Sam stands in the ocean of the shores of Coney Island. He raises his left arm, and motions towards the world leaders and monarchs to enter the water. Franz Joseph I (Pan-Slavism), Alexander III (Nihilism), William I (Socialism), Umberto I (Pauperism), Marianne (Communism), and Queen Victoria (Fenianism) run into the sea. Behind them, a head of state wearing a fez and running with crutches, is labeled "mormonism". Another runs toward the ocean and wears the label "Spain." In the background there are six bath houses flying the national flags of Austria, Russia, Germany, Italy, France, and England.
