An acetate negative from the Philadelphia-based J. G. Brill Company. They manufactured interurban rail-cars, trolleys, and buses and photographed finished and unfinished products for clients and company records.
These work progress negatives depict a 5-Model 55 Special Passenger and Baggage Gas Rail Body, built for the American Car & Foundry Export Co. for Uruguayan State Railways. Order was received 1931-03-09 and shipped on 1931-07-09.

12382: Interior view of car, looking towards front.  Shows two passenger compartments.  In the compartment closest to the camera, there are two facing rows of leather-upholstered transverse bucket seats.  In the passenger compartment farthest from the camera five rows of leather-upholstered transverse seats are visible.  The door the baggage area is open.
