Inscription:
The first American Flag was made here No. 239- Arch St, (Old No. 39) by Mrs. Elizabeth Ross in 1776, by order of Gen. Washington in person, and approved by Congress. For 6 years she furnished all the national flags for the government. (Front Bottom)
