Built on south west corner of 24th & Francis (now Coats) Streets opposite to the Old Sansom Mansion, near Fairmount by Peter A. Brown Esq. Atty of Philada about 1823. The Pavilion occupied about 100 feet front on Coats Street & was a place of entertainment, the Labyrinth garden was between the Pavilion & Pagoda, the latter occupied the centre and was called "The Temple of Confucius" and was 110 feet high, from the top of which there was a fine view.
