Lipp's Brewery and West Philadelphia Senger Halle in 1862. -Philadelphia- This Building stood on the west side of the River Schuylkill nearly opposite the Turtle Rock and west of Lemon Hill Mansion, Fairmount Park. It was a great resort for German families to sing, dance, and drink lager beer, dancing hall 75 by 90 feet, building 185 deep. Demolished Sept'r 1871. (Front Bottom)
