Image: 1/16 plate; Head and shoulders of a girl with bare shoulders, wearing brooch on purple ruby glass, with color applied to cheeks. Preserver: Straight but more ornate (1850s). Mat: Oval with matte finish and ornate (late 1850s). Case: Paper-covered wood-frame embossed with floral design with gilded lines on exterior and interior, with red velvet pinchpad, navy velvet cushion embossed with geometric design (1850-60s).
