Image: 1/16 plate; Head and shoulders of a woman with a brooch at her throat. Preserver: Straight and embossed with simple pattern (after 1850). Mat: Oval with a sandy finish (late 1840s). Case: Paper-covered wood-frame with flat embossed geometric design, red velvet pinchpad, eggplant velvet cushion (not embossed) (post-1850).
