Image: 1/6 plate on red ruby glass; Child sitting on a fabric covored cushioned chair, hair parted in the center with hair tucked behind the ears, dressed in a white dress with short flared sleeves gathered at the shoulders, with whitework trim, white stockings and dark boots, with color applied to her cheeks. Preserver: Fancier with inward points at the corners (after 1858). Mat: Oval with matte finish and simple embossed design (1850). Case: Leather-covered wood-frame, not embossed, with a push-button fastener, and brass hinges, interior gilded trim details, with a green velvet pinchpad and an red velvet cushion embossed with the photographer's advertisement (1850s).Inscription:
