Image: 1/2 plate; Two standing men dressed in hats and jackets and a woman seated at the shoreline of Niagara Falls. Preserver: Straight but more ornate (1850s). Mat: Double elliptical with matte surface (mid 1840s - mid 1850s). Case: Paper-covered wood-frame embossed with a vine and grapes design both front and back, with a gilded interior edge trim, a red velvet pinchpad, and a red velvet cushion embossed with a scroll work design.Format:
