Image: 1/6 plate; Three children standing around a cloth covered posing table, the child on the left, with hair parted on one side, wearing a long-sleeved checked sacque, the oldest child in the center wearing a light colored roundabout with shiny buttons and a white collar, and matching trousers, the child on the right, with hair parted in the center, wearing a dark, short-sleeved dress. Preserver: Stiff & heavy, more golden (1847-50). Mat: Double elliptical, with sandy finish (mid 1840-50). Case: Paper and leather covered wood frame embossed with a floral design both front and back, with a red velvet pinchpad, and a red velvet cushion embossed with a scrollwork design (1850s).
