Image: 1/6 plate; Boy standing in front of a posing stand, holing on to a chair wearing a tartan sacque bested at the waist with white trowsers.
Preserver: Straight and embossed with simple pattern (after 1850).
Mat: Double elliptical, with sandy finish (mid 1840-50).
Case: Leather-covered wood frame embossed with the scarce "Bird Hatching Eggs" design (Berg No. 5-35) both front and back, with a spotted exterior and interior gilded edge trim, a red velvet pinchpad, and a red velvet cushion embossed with a floral design (1850s).
