School copybook by George Wineman, dated 1856, from when he would have been about 16. The copybook shows George's arithmatic, composition, and handwriting lessons, but a large percentage of the book is his illustrations and designs, inculding many of animals and people. many are colored in what appears to be watercolor, or a similar paint.
