Gold "freedom box" made by Clares LeRoux, New York in 1735. It was given to Andrew Hamilton by the Common Council of New York for his defense of J. Peter Zenger in a landmark freedom of the press case. Images include view of top, interior, sides, bottom of box and a three-quarter view.
