Memorial of the Pennsylvania Abolition Society to the United States Congress, 1790.  This was the first antislavery petition delivered before the Unites States Congress.  It was written February 3, 1790 and delivered in Congress and presented to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on February 12, 1790.  The petition is signed by Benjamin Franklin, President of the Pennsylvania Abolition Society.
