Biography: "A chemist, physicist, and geologist, the Danish-born Martin Hans Boyè was an associate of Paul Beck Goddard. Both men were assistants to Dr. Robert Hare, an eminent chemist on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania, in the late 1830s (cf.
