Image Description:
During exhibitions at Capitol City Iron Works, Atlantic Paint and Varnish Company, and war plants located in Virginia, war workers witness how 20-mm anti-aircraft guns work.  The exhibition was performed by two combat veterans: Gunner's Mate Roy J. Allen and Fire Controlman John R. McIsaac.  The two men served on the same fighting destroyer for two years before it was sunk in the South Pacific.  The demonstration was staged to show war workers the close connection between themselves and fighting men of the fleet.
