During a night of entertainment at the Stage Door Canteen, Clarence Davis, a black dishwasher, plays the piano. One photograph shows a military man standing alongside the Canteen pin-up girls from 1944. A picture with a note from Lincoln Wilmerton, the stage director of the Canteen in 1942, is included. Also highlighted are photographs of the board of directors acting as bus boys.
