World War I-era, triangular placard welcoming home "Pennsylvania's own 28 Iron Div." The 28th Infantry Division is the oldest, continuously serving division in the United States. The 28th was drafted into service for World War I in August 1917 and fought in France where General John Pershing gave the division its nickname: "men of iron."
