World War I-era postcard depicting the sinking of the S.M.S. Cap Trafalgar on September 14, 1914. The S.M.S. Cap Trafalgar was a German auxilory cruiser (and former ocean liner) that was destroyed by the H.M.S. Carmania off of the island of Trinidad. The postcard shows the S.M.S. Cap Trafalgar going down and nearby rowboats in the foreground, with the island and a different ship in flames in the background. The postcard was addressed to "Señor Fogista G. Bock" in Portsmouth, Virginia.
