Notebook, entitled "S. Parry’s Book of Recipes" and started in June 19, 1873, in which Susan Parry described diseases, prescription recipes, treatment procedures, and a few homeopathic remedies. Notably, Parry included a variety of prescriptions for the diseases of women (section begins on page 277) and children (section on page 269). However, her recipes include prescriptions for a wide range of ailments, including a "Note on Narcotics" (page 272), and alleviants for scarlet fever (page 265). Included also is an index of recipes at the end of the volume. Additionally, beginning with image 152, tucked into the volume is a letter of recommendation written by the staff of the Lumberville School, Bucks County, where Parry taught as a young woman.
