Letter written by Charles Wesley, a leader in the new Methodist Church, to Reverend Samuel Walker. Charles Wesley had long disputed with his brother, John Wesley, founder of the Methodist Church, about the Methodists' split with the Church of England. His letter to Walker explains his wish for the Methodists to reunite with the Anglican Church and put to rest the practices that have driven them apart, most notably John Wesley's insistance of granting permission to laymen to preach and evangelize.
