Incorporation certificate given by the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth to the Ancient Order of Hibernians of the state of Pennsylvania. The Hibernians were an Irish-Catholic fraternal organization which worked to protect Catholic churches from anti-Catholic forces and aid Irish immigrants to the US. In the coal-mining regions of Pennsylvania, the group was associated with the Molly Maguires.
