This item is a forty year retrospective on the A. Schoenhut company, toy manufacturers. This booklet was produced in 1912 in response to the unexepectant death of founder Albert Schoenhut (1848-1912).

Historically, Germany dominated the toy-making industry. Schoenhut was a German-American immigrant and he founded the Schoenhut company in 1872 to compete with German markets. By his death in 1912, Schoenhut had become the largest toy manufacturers in North America.
