Major William Galvan's (?-1782) last correspondence to his closest friends: Lieutenant Colonel Henry Brockholst Livingston (1757-1823), Major Matthew Clarkson (?-1825), and William Bingham esquire (1752-1804). Galvan fought in the Revolutionary War and was a personal friend of George Washington. In this letter he presents his final wishes and asks for respect and forgiveness.
