This recommendation letter for Lt. Isaace Lloyd of the 9th Pennsylvania Cavalry to be appointed to Invalid Corps is signed by Maj. Thomas J. Jordan and co-signed by Lt. William Russell, Maj. Griffith Jones. The letter is addressed to Col. James Barnet Fry, provost marshal general and overseer of the Invalid Corps. There are addition recommendations made by A.P. Campbell and E.M. McCook. The last portion, dated Oct. 22, 1863, contains the signed approval of the recommendation.
