Black and white postcard of Grumblethorpe, built by John Wister in 1744 in Germantown, Pennsylvania.  The postcard is mounted on tan paper, which in turn is mounted on a cream-colored paper.  The back has two two-cent stamps with writing on them, as well as a label from D. Hinkle, a photographer in Germantown.
Inscription:
Headquarters of Genl. Agnew during the Battle of Germantown, October 1777.
Scene of the attack upon Major Lennox by the "Constitutionalists" so styled, June 1783.
