Second Passenger Depot Philada and Reading Rail Road Co. East side of Broad Street near Vine St, 1847. Also the Broad Street House, kpet by Mr. Matlack. Built by the Canal Commissioners as the terminus of the Philada and Columbia R. Road in 1834 and opened by William Matheys. In April 1836 I started from here by Columbia RR the inclined planes over the Alleghanies and canals and Rroads to Pittsburg and Ohio River Steamers to Nashville, Tenn. Demolished Apt 1886 D.J.K
